The Bisons have never been ranked in an in-season NABC/Division-II coaches' poll, at least not until now. They were ranked #21 in the preseason poll two years ago but quickly fell out.
Two other GSC West teams are in the top 25, with UAM at #8 and Ouachita at #16. ...

The differences between South Region conferences are probably murkier this year than in years past. There were 31 inter-conference games between the GSC, SSC, and SIAC, though, and I'll make an attempt to say something about the conferences' relative quality.
